Medical SPA “Eglės Sanatorija” comfort Birštonas is a residential complex and treatment centre set in a pine forest on the banks of Nemunas river. The health resort specializes in treating a series of illnesses, including neurological, cardiological, pulmonological, traumatological-orthopedic, endocrinal, gynecological, dermotological, renal, as well as illnesses connected to the movement-support apparatus and the digestive system. There is a treatment centre, where guests can receive kinesiotheraphy, physiotherapy, audio-visual therapy treatments and variety of massages. There is swimming pool and sauna complex. Pros: Pool zone, no chlorine. Restaurant quite decent. Location.

Cons: Hair dryers outdated and not working - bring yours. Bed matress was ridicously soft and uncomfortable - like water bed. Sleeping on sofa was more confortable to comparision. If you want any procedures book in advance - on arrival day you wont get anything. There are still personel who speak only russian.

Overall it met out expectations

Pros: Everything was as expected. The breakfast was excellent, the SPA was good, the concert on Saturday evening was a nice bonus. Overall, we had a good time.

Cons: The SPA is only open from 15:00 (even on weekends) which means you only get to go once during a one night stay. Usually we like to enjoy it in the morning before check-out as well. Also, it was very busy, which takes away from the enjoyment.

Cons: We felt rushed on multiple occations and that was not relaxing. When you pay this much for a spa, you excpect to relax and rest, and not to be pushed, sometimes rudely. Some examples: 1. Swiming pool closes between 1 and 2pm but that is not noted clearly. 12:50 safeguard came inside the pool and started to shout at people \

Pros: the breakfast menu was poor, I expected a wider selection

Cons: we came for the weekend to enjoy spa treatments. Unfortunately, most of the saunas, jacuzzi, pool waterfalls, etc. did not operate on Sunday.

Nice family break, would recommend!

Pros: Super clean rooms. Nice food! Nice facilities! Very good pool (even though part of it was under construction during our visit). Would recommend !

Cons: Some of the stuff were a bit impatient with older people ( because they would not follow the instructions immediately), which was surprising. But the other stuff were really kind and nice!
