Very good stay

Pros: The location is excellent. Staff was multilingual and friendly. Staff members provided all the needed information about the hotel and its facilities as it was my first time in the hotel. I had no time for breakfast and left before it was served.

Recommended as a great option for staying at Panevėžys

Pros: The Smelyne has very well maintained rooms. The hotel and rooms does not have most modern features, but everything is in perfect working condition with a comfortable bed . The staff is very friendly and helpful. I was staying for 2 weeks and mostly working nights, during days I was able to sleep just fine with low noise levels.

Cons: During the 2 weeks I stayed there was one evening there was a party hosted which generated quite some noise during the evening time, this happened only once during the 2 week and it was not a big deal overall though.

Short stay in Panevežys

Pros: Very clean and cozy. In our room we had a kettle with a tea and instant coffee, towels and shower equipment which is very nice. Overall Smėlynė is at a very good place near the city centre. Breakfast was also very tasty!

Overnight stay in Panevezys.

Pros: Very nice hotel close to the bus station and town centre in Panevezys and hence a perfect location. My room was good, the bed comfortable and the breakfast buffet was good.

Pros: The cozy feeling - from check-in (Irma, big thanks for the welcoming) to check-out. The hotel is super cozy and smells great. The proximity to the main street with all the restaurants is great.

Very pleasant and well-maintained hotel with functional A/C

Pros: We’ve stayed at this hotel many times over the years and have always had a consistently pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean and tidy, with polite staff who are always helpful and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and have very comfortable beds. One standout feature is the air pump in each room, which cools the space exceptionally well in hot weather—far better than the so-called “A/C” you often find in hotels across Eastern Europe, where a fan blows but the cooling never actually kicks in. Here, it really works, and it makes a big difference. The hotel also has a good dining room with a varied breakfast offering something for everyone. In the evenings, if the hotel restaurant isn’t open, there are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the town center is just a short walk away. Another plus is the safe and secure outdoor car park—very convenient for those traveling by car. Highly recommended, and we’ll certainly be returning again.
